Dr Hezel Cohen had the privilege of being able to follow his dream of becoming a dentist at one of the finest dental faculties in the world. He graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2001, winning the Crown and Bridge Prize for that year. Since then, he has endeavoured to gain experience in all fields of dentistry, and has provided his services to both the public and private sectors in South Africa and Australia. Over the years, he has completed numerous extracurricular courses, including root canal treatment, implant technology, and oral surgery. He is currently studying for his Masters Degree in Clinical Dentistry, focusing on prosthodontics, at King’s College in London. Dr Cohen is passionate about patient care and always aims to improve his knowledge and experience in the latest dental technology. Before he and his wife moved to Perth from Queensland in 2013, he was the principal dentist at a large private dental practice. There, he was a colleague and role model to several young dentists, orthodontic providers, and dental therapists/hygienists. He also introduced valuable dental services to the Roma and surrounding communities, which were previously lacking. Apart from dentistry, Dr Cohen is also a very keen runner and has competed in several ultra-marathons over the last few years. He also loves to take out his two Jack Russells for some exercise as much as he can.
